| Chandeleur 2006 to Date

| Surprisingly Chandeleur faired Katrina better than expected. After all the reports in the news that 90% of the island was gone, we held our breath as we headed out in mid-March for a scouting mission. Surprisingly all of our favorite fishing areas were still there, such as, Redfsh Point, Schooner Harbor, New Harbor Island, North Island, Freemason, etc.....there are new cuts in the main island and the fishing has been fantastic. I will write a more detailed report as the year progresses - just wanted all to know that Chandeleur did survive - somewhat battered and torn - but the fish don't seem to care. |
